Tape measure mess

Did a bit of casual measuring at home and managed to let the end of the tape get into the holder. What to do? Open it of course. Sproing! It was a snappy spring just waiting to get out and I'm happy to still have my eyes in order I can say. If there will be a next time for me to do this I'll wear protective glasses for sure.

Temperature rising?

Went for a walk in the afternoon and ended up at the little beach by the lake. Last year water temperature peaked at 27 degrees centigrade. Will that happen this year too? Wouldn't mind if it does.

Some small cratures had woken up in the warm weather. This is some kind of caterpillar. Wonder what it will be when it grows up.

And a spider running around, a bit drowsy though!

Temperature rising!

I can't belive what my eyes are telling me!

Clean cut

Since I got The Village I have had the intention to cut an oak branch. It has been dropping things on my car, it has also threatened to bring down a telephone line any day soon. Something had to be done. I drove the car away, brought out my super ladder and a sharp saw. So this is just before the cut...

...and after. I made a cut on the underside of the branch first. This would make the shearing cut easier and cleaner. Halfway through the branch started to go down a bit and threated to bring down the telephone line. One of the reasons to take the branch away was to prevent this from happening! Everything went well in the end.

Full moon

This night a huge full moon rose above The Village. No need for street lights or others for that sake.
